I'm teaching a beginning art class for kids ages 8-11. It will run for one hour per week through the school year on a day that suits the needs of your student(s).
Individuality and creativity will be a primary focus, but the class will teach essential principles such as value, shape, light & shadow, and perspective. We will also work with more advanced concepts such as color theory, drawing faces, and observational sketches.
Cost for the class will be $20 per student per month, plus $35 for materials that they will get to keep. These will include artist-grade pencils, brushes, a filled travel watercolor palette, plus the paper and other supplies that we will use in class.
While I have a set curriculum that starts with concepts easy enough for a beginner, even more advanced students will benefit from the activities and exercises with each lesson. I plan to tailor the class to fit the needs and growth rate of individual students. Please message me if you would like to enroll and we can make arrangements that fit your schedule.
